Living Nutrition Certificate

Living Nutrition Certificate is
Rawducation = Raw + Education

Educational Living Nutrition Program

The Nutrition Program consists of two dimensions and three levels each.  The first dimension is Six Sigma Nutrition Program which is designed for Health Practitioners with a recognized degree in health and Nutrition.  This is geared towards Medical Doctors, Registered Dietitianers, Nurses, Chiropractors and others.

The second dimension is an educational program geared towards people who want to gain an expertise for their health and the health of others.  Level One is just a personal level for health people.  Level Two is intermediate training for those with health issues and to help others.  And level three is advanced training giving an overview of the raw vegan field with some of the major raw vegan authors.

The Six Sigma Nutrition program for health professionals is geared as an academic program for doctors, registered dietitians, nurses and others who are not planning on adopting a plant-based diet but want an understanding of it to be able to use in their practice.

Why teach different leaders views?
There are a lot of good books on plant-based diet out, a much smaller number of good books that are focused on raw vegan diets and even a smaller number that systematically go through this as a nutritional approach.  Within the raw vegan field Jim Tibbetts books are one of the few that acknowledges and uses the nutritional approaches of other leaders in the field.  The reasons others do incorporate their associates teachings is because they want to defend their beliefs and knowledge on this subject, assuming they are correct and disagreeing with others.  And second it could send people to others websites and products.

Thus Jim actively promote the other major leaders and their teachings even though these teachings may conflict with each other.  The important thing is getting people to head in that direction and showing the breath of the field.   The differences will work themselves out in the end.  A good example is Doug Graham promotes a low-fat diet and Gabriel Cousens promotes a high-fat diet, both think that they are correct.  But some personality types do better with a low-fat and others do better with a high-fat plant-based diet.  Is one better then the other in general, probably but that is for the experts in the field to work out, which could take years and still not be resolved.  So by promoting the major leaders in this small field the breath of knowledge of raw vegan foods can be understood.

Why teach a systematic approach to raw nutrition?
First a systematic approach to nutrition is standard in any program for registered dietitians since there are certain things necessary to know.  Second, no matter what raw food leader’s view of nutrition they teach, they all agree on basic foundational aspects of raw vegan or living foods diets.  The first is the diet itself is mostly raw 80/20 to 100% raw; and 100% off all red meats and land animal flesh; some do emphasize eggs or raw goats milk.  These are the two foundational principles, others are laid out in Living Foods Standards Blueprint.  Thus the first two books are:

1. Alleluia Diet
2. Plant-based diet Evidence
The Alleluia Diet book gives the generic understand of the practice of a raw vegan diet along with its own orientation.  The Plant-based Diet Evidence, gives the scientific evidence and some studies on the superiority of plant-based diets over meat-based diets.  It also gives the evidence and importance for raw meals over a cooked foods diet.  Thus these two are foundational.  There are a number of similar books on the market that do the same as the Alleluia Diet book but there are very few that go through the scientific evidence like this Plant-based Diet Evidence book.

The next common feature of almost all raw vegan diets is fasting and smoothies and juicing.  Even though they have different variations on these topics these are found in most of the raw vegan diet leaders emphasis.  Thus the books:
3. Juice Fasting
4. Green Smoothies and Protein

The best systematic nutrition approach for plant-based diets is by Brenda Davis, RD and Vesanto Melina RD: Becoming Vegetarian, Becoming Vegan, and Becoming Raw Vegan.  They have an excellent series which goes through nutrition from a professional nutritional education by two registered dietitians.  They cover all the basics such as proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals.  Their latest book, Becoming Raw Vegan, covers a lot of the same that is found in the other two book.

Using a different format for nutrition; Living Foods Standards Blueprint goes through an outline for optimal health based on the basics of raw vegan diets.  This outline was first created by a group of raw food leaders at a gathering at the Hippocrates Institute in 2007.  This book is more of a technical manual with the vast amount of scientific evidence and studies that are cited.  It shows a solid foundation for the raw field.  It is not necessary to read through this whole book but to be familiar with its contents.  This Standards Blueprint is really a part II for the book; The Plant-based Diet Evidence, which gives a basic introduction to the scientific evidence and studies on the superiority of plant-based diets over meat-based diets.  Thus the books:
5.  Living Foods Standards Blueprint
6.  Becoming Vegan by Brenda Davis, RD and Vesanto Melina RD

Having knowledge of  medicine and what is really happening in the field of the pharmaceutical industry is important to know since it effects everyone.  Food is really the most powerful drug in the world since it can totally control nutritional biochemistry and be the ultimate means of healing.  Pharmaceutical drugs are all poisons which is why they need to be approved by the government.  The book, Pharmaceutical Drug Intervention Bioethics is a review of the literature looking at about 18 different books on this subject.  Even though it is helpful personally for anyone dealing with others, personally or professionally it is essential.  Thus the book: 7.  Pharmaceutical Drug Intervention Bioethics

The therapeutic approach is basically the same for different degenerative diseases and incorporates all the of the above.  Thus by reviewing either the cancer book or the Parkinson’s book will give the same approach which can be applied to most all degenerative diseases.
9.  Choose one of the two therapeutic books:
Starving Cancer to Death, Nutritional Integrative Cancer Therapies
            with Joseph Spaziani, MD
For a review of the scientific journals and related evidence see also:
Scientific Evidence for Nutritional Cancer Therapies
10.  Impacting Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s to Permanent Remission,
         Nutritional Integrative Therapies

Finally Biblical Nutrition is the Basis for the Alleluia Diet and gives the background and evidence for a plant-based diet in biblical times.  This knowledge is not needed for health practitioners of Six Sigma but it is for those who are Alleluia health ministers and practitioners.  Thus the book: 8.  Biblical Nutrition.  Not required but a good work for those doing ministry is the book on meditation:  Meditation, the Jesus Prayer and Alleluia Praise, which gives a solid understand of meditation and its practice.  Prayer and meditation are very useful, if not necessary in dealing with healing.

For those who want to be considered on the professional nutrition ministers or Six Sigma Nutrition Practitioners level, they need to review the other major leaders books in the field.  These are key books adding breath and depth to a raw vegan lifestyle approach.
These books include:
1.  Gabriel Cousens, MD – Conscious Eating
2.  Robert Young, PhD – Sick and Tired Reclaim Your Inner Terrain
3.  Fred Bisci, PhD – Your Healthy Journey
4.  Brian Clement, PhD – Living Foods for Optimum Health
5.  Rev. George Malkmus – The Hallelujah Diet
6.  David Wolfe – The Sunfood Diet
7.  Victoria Boutenko – Green for Life
8.  Paul Nison – The Raw Life

The ten books by Jim Tibbetts are the basis for this systematic approach.  These ten books include:
Some works in print or published by Jim Tibbetts include:
1.   Plant-based Nutrition Evidence for Health and Healing
2.   Living Foods Standards Blueprint, a review of the literature
3.   Starving Cancer to Death, Nutritional Integrative Cancer Therapies
 with Joseph Spaziani, MD
4.  Scientific Evidence for Nutritional Cancer Therapies
5.  Impacting Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s to Permanent Remission,
         Nutritional Integrative Therapies
 6.   The Alleluia Diet, for Optimum Health and Healing
 7.   Juice Fasting, a Scientific, Practical Approach
 8.   Living Green with Juices and Smoothies
  9.    Biblical Nutrition, the Alleluia Diets of Jesus and Mary
10.  Meditation, the Jesus Prayer and Alleluia Praise

What are the three levels?
All these levels are lifestyle approaches since you learn by living the lifestyle of being a raw vegan and juicing and fasting.   The personal level is just for yourself personally and the social level is for yourself and others.  These two are not paid levels but ministering levels, to be able to work with oneself and with others socially in dealing with nutrition.

Level III for the Alleluia Nutrition ministers Program can ask for a suggested donation for their services and the Six Sigma Professional Health Practitioners program get paid for their services.  For medical doctors, nutritionists, nurses, and others it is part of their established medical practice.

As an Alleluia Nutrition Minister you are giving professional advice as a health minister, ministering to the body of Christ.  In the Jewish and Christian world we are all ministering to each other through prayers and advice for personal health and healing.  All are called to be healers in this way.  All humans are body, soul and spirit and healing occurs on all three levels.  As an Alleluia Nutrition minister you are ministering to all three levels and have training in how to deal with the body through nutrition naturally.  As scripture notes, “a workman is worth his wages” thus you too, as a nutrition minister, are worth a donation for services rendered.

Is there a certificate given and what requirements are there?
Yes a certificate is given for all three levels.  Obviously the need to review each of the books is the first requirement.  The second requirement is the lifestyle experience of eating the raw vegan diet and doing a juice fast or two.  These are listed for each of the levels.  Obviously they are progressive from level 1 to level 2 to level 3.

For levels one, two and three writing a few paragraphs to a page on each book in summary format about the book is required for the certificate.  For level Three a few paragraphs to a page on each of the 8 books by raw food leaders is also required.  Then for level three take one of these books or a related book and write a longer 3-4 pages on to show that you grasped it.

Also for level three an open book test is required for each of the first eight books (Tibbetts books and Becoming Raw).  This is a test with a question for most of the chapters in each book, it is either a true or false or a multiple choice question.  There will be between 80 to 100 questions, about 10 questions per book.  The test will tell you what book and chapter the question is coming out of.  The questions are straightforward and easy to find in the chapter in each book.  This test can be taken for level two covering those eight books for level two and three.  A four month window is given for the time of ordering the test, on-line to the time of having it in for correction.

Is there a cost for each certificate?
Yes, a minor administrative cost.  For level one - $20, for level two - $30 and $50 for level three.  The cost of the test is $25 for the first eight books and $25 for the second eight books or $50 total.  These two tests can be taken separately.  There is a four month window for the time the test are given and the time they need to be returned so reading the books ahead of time is recommended.

The cost of the professional medical doctors program is $100 and then the same costs for the tests.  The cost of the test is $25 for the first eight books and $25 for the second eight books or $50 total.  It has the same requirement of a few paragraphs to a page for each book.

Probably over the years this minor administrative cost will move into a tuition fee which is a lot more money for these professional courses but for now the costs are kept low to encourage certification.
